Meanwhile, back at the ranch…

After being delayed by some much needed rain in February we were blessed by some beautiful weather for our recent annual “Day at the Ranch” respite program for Wounded Heroes of America (WHoA).  Check out this brief but amazing video provided by WhoA.

Originally founded in October 2001 to help the families of 9/11 victims, WHoA has grown into an organization dedicated to caring for the veterans of the long wars that followed the attack. While small and local, each year they reach more and more of the wounded warriors in Southern California, home to so many of the nation’s veterans. Recognizing our veteran’s proven commitment to serve and the specialized abilities they honed in the service, WHoA focuses on connecting wounded (OIF) Iraq and (OEF) Afghanistan veterans with the resources needed to help them re-enter and adjust to civilian life.

Each year we get to experience what an amazing sense of community WHoA creates for all those that they serve, most recently at our 3rd annual respite day at Horse of the Sun Ranch.

We salute the constituents, staff and volunteers of Wounded Heroes of America and invite you to visit their website for more information.
