Fourteen youth, ages 12 – 17, and five mentors from
Village of Promise San Diego joined eight volunteers from the Travis Manion Foundation to enjoy a day of fun and activity at Horse of the Sun Ranch.

The youth participated in archery, horseshoe toss, leatherwork, horseback riding, photography, and crafts. Heather Kelly, the Program Manager of the Western Region of the Travis Manion Foundation said, “We all had an amazing experience and loved spending time with the students of Village of Promise and getting to experience all the Ranch has to offer! Thank you for opening up Horse of the Sun to our groups.”

Village of Promise is a new partner with Horse of the Sun. The mission of the organization is to positively impact the daily lives of children with incarcerated parents through collective mentoring.
Travis Manion Foundation has been a partner organization for a year and has a mission to empower veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations.

The day was a perfect demonstration of how the missions of these fantastic organizations perfectly fits with the Horse of the Sun mission. Thank you to Travis Manion Foundation and Village of Promise for your service.
