Our Cowboy Academies connect with and greatly benefit our deserving military veterans. With many of our clients there are challenges both physical and emotional, yet there are also many victories that may only happen in a setting where individuals with common experiences and values meet. In our equestrian programs, both physical and emotional power must become a specific, dynamic interaction between human and horse. Many studies show that when these connections are made, fears fade, tensions ease and the opportunities to learn increase.

Horse of the Sun Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit California corporation. We provide sponsored services for our underserved youth and military clients. We rely on individual donations, corporate sponsorships and grants to fulfill the costs of serving deserving clients without the means to pay for the services directly.
